Yacine AIT KACI is a French author, director and artist, born in Paris in 1973. A graduate of the first digital section of the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, he began his career in multi-media creation (Dvd-rom of the Louvre, 1999) and audiovisual production (Archimède program on Arte).
In 2000, he co-founded the Electronic Shadow* artistic group, which focuses on the relationship between reality and imagination, and has produced numerous installations, shows and innovations (invention of video-mapping in 2003, Grand Prix at the Japan Media Art Festival in 2005...) and several shows, including his first with Carolyn Carlson in 2006, Double Vision. In 2011, he created Elyxa smiling, universal character, whom he projects into the post-digital era via social networks, becoming a veritable virtual personality. Elyx became the first virtual ambassador of the United Nations in 2015. He also stages a new musical show with the group RP3, WE ARE ONE.

Electronic Shadow is a Parisian artist duo founded in 2000 by architect Naziha Mestaoui and multimedia director Yacine Aït Kaci. Recognized pioneers of digital art and inventors of Videomapping at the crossroads of space and image, their career has been marked by a multitude of exhibitions around the world: MOMA in New York, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, Museum of Photography in Tokyo, Biennial of Contemporary Art in Seville, SESI in Sao Paulo, MOCA in Shanghai.... In 2011 Electronic shadow presented a monographic exhibition at the Musée Granet in Aix-enProvence (35,000 visitors).
For over five years, Naziha Mestaoui and Yacine Aït Kaci have also been developing personal, autonomous projects that have led them to appear in exhibitions and festivals under their own names. Today, Yacine AIT KACI is reinventing his relationship with the world through the creation of a virtual personality, the smiling Elyx, now a virtual ambassador for the United Nations, whom he draws and stages in real life with a quirky, poetic eye. ELYX recently wished Parisians a Happy New Year for the city's Christmas celebrations, and Carolyn Carlson invited Yacine and ELYX to her latest creation for young audiences, Seeds, presented in January at Chaillot, marking their second collaboration, ten years after Double Vision. Naziha Mestaoui has embarked on a research project into the ancestral practices of peoples that has taken her to the heart of the Amazon, and to the creation of the monumental work " 1 Heart 1 Tree ", which transformed the Eiffel Tower into a virtual forest during COP21 and enabled tens of thousands of trees to be replanted around the world.
